What coverage does SME Health Protection include?

Main coverages
 
Primary care. Family medicine and paediatrics/childcare (up to 15 years of age) at the health centre and at home, during the established days and times. Includes nursing.
Emergencies. Emergency health assistance. Includes ambulance service.
Special care at home. For conditions that do not require hospitalisation or specialised equipment.
Hospital care. At a clinic or hospital. Includes ambulance service.
Medical specialities, surgery, diagnostic tests and therapeutic methods in all specialties. Cardiology, dermatology, endocrinology, neurology, gynaecology, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, oncology, psychiatry, etc.
Sabadell BluaU 7-14 euros/month family coverage. Video consultation with over 3,000 specialists, medical tests at home and reimbursement of pharmacy expenses.
Other care services. Physiotherapy, speech therapy, nutrition, podiatry, prostheses, mother and child programmes, psychology, home respiratory therapies and paediatric dentistry.
Occupational and traffic-related accidents. Health assistance for road accidents or an occupational or professional illness, recognised by the relevant Authorities.
Emergency care on trips abroad. Medical care for illness or accident. Includes medical expenses, the transfer of sick and injured people and costs in the event of death, etc.
Preventive medicine. Programmes for the early diagnosis of diseases. Includes a medical appointment, a physical examination and basic diagnostic tests.
Digital and home-based services. Video consultations (24 h doctor and personalised health programmes), delivery of medicines from the pharmacy and home physiotherapy.

Optional coverages
 
Take Care of Yourself at Home service at a cost of €3 per month per insured person, which includes home analysis and reimbursement of pharmacy expenses.
Clínica Universitaria de Navarra (CUN) 20.35 euros per month per insured party. Wider medical team, incorporating the hospitals of the University Clinics of Navarre and Madrid (price valid for the whole of Spain except Madrid, Toledo, Segovia, Guadalajara and Ávila).
US coverage for EUR 1.55/month per insured person. Health assistance in an associate network of medical centres in the United States.

Self-employed individuals can claim a tax deduction on premiums of up to €500 per insured person, while foreign nationals receive assistance with residence application registration, telephone support in English, and repatriation services (only available under the reimbursement scheme).

If you don't want to worry about paying any additional charge when using your health insurance.

If you choose the co-payment option, you will only need to pay a small fee when using your policy: from €3.5 per medical service and €9 per psychology session.

You can visit any professional and/or medical centre outside the Sanitas medical directory, with the same insured coverage scope as in the medical directory. Up to 80% of expenses will be reimbursed, with a maximum of €200,000 per person per year (subject to sub-limits), both in Spain and abroad.
