How does Banco Sabadell help me with my self-employed contribution (RETA) payment?
If you set up a direct debit of the social insurance contribution under the Special Scheme for Self-Employed Workers (RETA) from your Sabadell Self-employed Online Account, we will pay €33.34 gross for 12 months, which adds up to a total of €400.08 gross for the first year. This benefit also applies to self-employed workers in the Special Agricultural System (SETA) and the Special Maritime Scheme (RETM).
*The quarterly incentive is deemed to be investment income included in the savings tax base of personal income tax (IRPF), so it is subject to withholding tax at the current rate.

Does the Sabadell Self-Employed Online Account include personal expenses cards?
Yes. The account comes with a Business debit card and a Business credit card with no issue or maintenance fees. How exactly does the current 2.75% APR return on the self-employed account work?
The Sabadell Self-Employed Online Account offers a return of 2.7201% NIR per annum in the first year, 2.7543% APR. This return is calculated on the average monthly balance you hold in the account, with a maximum balance limit of €100,000 to be interest-bearing. The interest accrued is settled on a monthly basis and credited to the account on the 15th day of the following month (or on the first working day before it). This return will also apply to the Sabadell Online Account for personal use, if you activate it.
Will I have a personal account manager who understands the needs of a self-employed person?

How do I manage my personal and professional finances? Do I need two separate accounts?
Are there any fees if one month I earn less or have no income?
Is it possible to open a Sabadell Self-Employed Online Account with two account holders?
Yes. The account permits a maximum of two holders, but does not accept authorised persons. The registration process can start with one or two account holders. If you select the two account holders option, the first account holder will complete their registration, and the second one will receive an email invite to join and complete their part of the process.
What is the difference between the self-employed social insurance contribution cashback and the bills cashback?
These are two different benefits with two distinct ends:
- The €400 cashback in the first year for the RETA payment is an exclusive benefit of the Sabadell Self-Employed Online Account.
- The 3% energy and gas bills cashback is an exclusive benefit of the Sabadell Online Account for personal use. If you as a self-employed worker open a personal use account, you will be able to enjoy this benefit.
How can I open the Sabadell Online Self-Employed Account?
All you need is your mobile phone, a valid ID card (DNI/TIE with photo) and a good Internet connection. Enter the browser from your mobile phone, access this Banco Sabadell website and click on the “Become a customer” button. Via this link you can register your Sabadell Online Account completely online from your mobile phone.

What information will the Bank give me to open the Sabadell Online Self-Employed Account?
During the online registration process, pre-contractual information is provided, which you can download and which will also be sent to your email address so that you can review it at your leisure. The pre-contractual information contains:

- Information prospectus prior to entering into a Payment Services Framework Contract.

Why do I have to specify an email address and a mobile phone number in the Sabadell Online Self-Employed Account registration process?
All communications and procedures of your Sabadell Online Self-Employed Account will be carried out through digital channels, by email, SMS or push notifications.
What is my user name and password to log into my new Sabadell Online Self-Employed Account?
During the registration process for your Sabadell Online Self-Employed Account, you will be assigned a user name, which will be the ID you used to register, and a password that you can change later from the app or the Banco Sabadell website, which you will use to log into remote banking once your information has been validated.
How can I sign the contract for the Sabadell Online Self-Employed Account?
The contract is the last step in the registration process. Through a trusted electronic service provider, you will receive an SMS to the mobile phone you have registered with the password that you have to enter on the screens. You sign the contract using this code.

By signing the Sabadell Online Self-Employed Account contract, am I then a customer of the Bank?
Signing the contract is not sufficient, as when you complete this step, it will be pending validation by the Bank. When it is validated, you will receive a notification that the registration has been successfully completed and the contract is valid.
How long does it take to activate my Sabadell Online Self-Employed Account?
The process is easy, secure and 100% online, which you will be able to complete in 6 simple steps: create a user name, register your personal data, identify yourself by means of a video identification system, state your profession, confirm the card delivery address and sign the contract.
Can I withdraw from the Sabadell Online Self-Employed Account contract once it has been signed?
Yes. You can withdraw and cancel the contract free of charge within 14 days of its taking effect without giving any reason and without a penalty. You have to give notice by the deadline indicated via the Bank's Remote Banking service, at its registered offices or corporate centres or branches or by calling the free phone number 900 700 010.
Why can't I upload my ID to continue with opening the account?
Check that the ID document is clearly visible, with no glare or blurred areas.
Why does it say I cannot continue with the process when I try to send the video to identify myself?
Make sure you have a good Internet connection. We recommend connecting to a trusted Wi-Fi network to continue with the process.
Why am I not receiving SMS notifications when I sign the contract?
Wait a moment. Sometimes, the password to sign the contract can take a few minutes.
You can also perform the following checks in this order:
Check that you don't have our number blocked for telephone numbers in this country +34215675 or 215675. In the case of international phone numbers, check that receiving SMS from abroad is not blocked.
Also, check that the device is not in the “do not disturb” or similar mode.
If you have recently done a portability transaction, check with the carrier that the routing to receive SMSs from applications is configured correctly.
If you have a Multi-SIM, tell your carrier that you are not receiving SMS from applications on the SIM you have in your phone, and ask them to configure it so that messages reach you correctly.
If you have a dual SIM card, tell your carrier that you are not receiving SMS messages from apps at the telephone number registered in our systems.
If your carrier is a virtual one, let them know if there are problems in the delivery of SMSs with the network operator and check that there are no coverage issues.
You can also perform the following checks in this order:

Make sure you have entered your mobile phone number correctly. Try again and wait a few minutes, as sometimes the message can take a while.

Promotion valid for new direct debits of the self-employed social insurance contribution (RETA) received in the Sabadell Self-Employed Online Account for business purposes within two months of opening the account during the promotional period. This also includes self-employed workers under the Special System for Self-Employed Farm Workers (SETA) and self-employed workers under the Special Scheme for Seafarers (RETM). This incentive is subject to the current withholding tax. To be eligible for this incentive, the self-employed social insurance contribution must be debited to the account for 12 consecutive months and on the day on which the incentive is credited. The incentive shall be credited monthly (€33.34 gross/month; €400.08 gross/year) for 12 months.
3. The granting of the credit card limit is subject to the Bank's risk criteria and its approval, after the relevant risk and viability assessment has been carried out.
4. Withdraw cash by debiting from your balance free of charge at Banco Sabadell ATMs in Spain using your debit card, regardless of the amount. It is also free if you withdraw an amount equal to or greater than €60 at the ATMs of the main banks belonging to the EURO 6000 network: Abanca, Ibercaja, Kutxabank, Unicaja Banco, Caixa Ontinyent and Colonya Caixa Pollença.
5. All the POS terminals are products of PAYCOMET S.L.U. and marketed by Banco de Sabadell, S.A. Paycomet is a Payment Entity, part of the Banco Sabadell Group, with registered office in Torrelodones (Madrid) at Calle Camino de Valladolid 2, Local, registered in the Mercantile Register of Madrid, Volume 40,715, Folio 165, Page M-722,484, holder of Tax ID No. B95842522. Paycomet retains the funds received from users via a deposit in a separate account opened with Banco de Sabadell, S.A. Banco de Sabadell, S.A. will access the data related to the type of POS terminal, its status and billing in its capacity as marketer of Paycomet, S.L.U.
6. For the first 6 months, there will be no POS terminal maintenance fee with the Sabadell Self-Employed Online Account, and the exemption will continue to apply from the seventh month if you carry out 20 or more transactions per month or generate a monthly billing of €4,000 or more. Otherwise, from the 7th month onwards, the maintenance fee for the Smart Dual Screen POS terminal shall be €9 per month, the Smart POS terminal shall be €9 per month, the Smart Phone & Sell POS shall be €9 per month, the Smart Mini POS shall be €7 per month, the Dataphone POS terminal shall be €6 per month and the SoftPOS Mobile POS terminal shall be €2 per month. There will be a maintenance fee for additional POS terminals of €5 per month (includes Smart Dual Screen, Smart, Smart Mini, and Dataphone POS terminals), and the fee for SoftPos Mobile POS terminals will be €2 per month. The Virtual POS terminal is excluded from the promotion, which has no maintenance fee if you perform 20 or more transactions per month or if you have a turnover equal to or greater than €4,000 per month (otherwise, a monthly maintenance fee of €9 shall be charged). VAT or the relevant indirect tax will be levied on the monthly POS terminal maintenance fee, in accordance with the recent ruling by the Spanish Tax Authority.
7. The transaction fee of 0.20% will apply for all domestic personal cards, with a minimum of €0.07 per transaction. Personal cards issued in the EU will be charged a fee of 0.40%, with a minimum of €0.07 per transaction. Business cards issued in this country will incur a 0.80% fee with a minimum of €0.07 per transaction. EU business cards, non-EU personal cards, JCB, CUP and Diners/Discover cards incur a 1.80% + €0.39 fee, with a minimum fee of €0.46 per transaction. Business cards issued outside the EU will incur a fee of 2.20% + €0.39 with a minimum of €0.46 per transaction. B2B cards incur a 2.95% transaction fee. Transactions made with American Express cards are excluded from this offer and are subject to specific fees. Specific prices apply to virtual devices. 8. Exclusive conditions for self-employed professionals, businesses and companies belonging to a group with an agreement with Banco Sabadell.
